Â
Phillips collected the pass, continued dribbling down the right side into the box, cut in towards the middle and placed a left-footed shot into the upper left corner of the net.
Â
"I am proud of the effort the team gave tonight," Sanchez said. "We attacked SJSU from the start and were scrappy all game. I loved the grit and pride we played with and am just bummed we could not turn that effort into more shots. I want to thank all the seniors who gave so much. We will miss you!"
Â
Tonight's match marked the final one for six Colorado College seniors, Wakeman, Aspen Jeter, Adelaide Gaffney, Jordan Darrow, Josie Morales and Alexa Porter, who did not see any action her senior season due to an injury.
