Pastor Wins Twice, But Tigers Fall to Western New Mexico

Freshman Lucas Pastor won both of his matches on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Colorado College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Western New Mexico University, 6-3, at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.
 
WNMU took two of the three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead. Pastor and Alex Kley won a hard-fought match at the No. 2 doubles spot, 8-6, over Joaquin Delpino and Yu Jhe Du.
 
Pastor captured CC's first singles win with a 6-2, 7-6, victory over Du at the No. 4 position, while Nate Beerman pulled out a 6-3 2-6, 1-0(6) triumph over Patricio Larrea at No. 5.
 
The Tigers (3-4) return to action on Friday, March 18 against Rhodes College in the team's first match of its spring break trip to Orlando, Fla.
