Colorado College's
Susie Renehan was named the recipient of the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Elite 19 Award for women's lacrosse in recognition of her outstanding performances in the classroom and on the field.
Renehan, a psychology major from New York, N.Y., currently owns a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average.
The junior defender also was a first-team all-conference selection after helping the Tigers post a 10-8 record, which included a 24-8 victory over Southwestern University in the SCAC Championship game at Washburn Field.
Renehan helped anchor the CC defense that posted conference-leading totals of 386 ground balls and 176 caused turnovers.
Despite competing against seven opponents which earned a berth in the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship, CC finished with an 11.22 goals-against average while capturing the program's fourth-straight SCAC title.
Renehan extended Colorado College's hold on the award to four consecutive years. Cassis Schafer earned the honor in 2019 and 2020, while
Natalie Schluter won the award last year.
Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned all-SCAC first-, second- or third-team honors in his/her sport during that particular season.
