th-ranked Western Michigan downed Colorado College, 4-0, Saturday night at Ed Robson Arena.

The Tigers were shutout for the first time this season and fell to 7-5-0 overall and 2-4-0 in the NCHC, while the Broncos improved to 6-3-1 and 3-3-0.

Each team had a pair of power-play opportunities in a scoreless first period, with a 5-on-3 chance for the Tigers for 1:18 midway through the frame. CC attempted eight shots during the two power plays but couldn't get anything past Rowe.

The Broncos took the lead with a pair of power-play goals in the second period. Zac Galambos scored off a wrister from the bottom of the left circle at the 1:52 mark and Dylan Wendt notched his second goal of the weekend from the slot at 11:47 of the middle frame.

The Tigers had four more power plays in the second period, including another 5-on-3 opportunity, this time for 1:43, when Luke Grainger was called for a 5-minute major for checking from behind just 17 seconds after Alex Bump was whistled for interference.

However, CC mustered just one shot on Rowe during the four opportunities, then put just one on target during two more man-advantage situations in the third period.

Wendt scored an empty-net goal with 3:29 remaining in the game, then Grainger scored with 1:33 left.
