Colorado College, the nation's 16th-ranked team and tournament's No. 1 seed, opened the scoring in the 13th minute when junior Curtis Hale notched his second goal of the season. Hale took a pass from Will Bavier and headed a shot past UST goalkeeper Gustavo Otero.

Castro evened things up in the 37th minute when he took a pass from Italo Rodriguez and flicked a shot from the top of the box past CC keeper Jasper Broad.

Castro put the fourth-seeded Celts ahead for good in the 73rd minute, heading in a free kick from Angel Ramirez.

UST outshot the Tigers, 12-8, in total shots and 8-4 in shots on target. Castro and Dany Ramirez each had a game-high four shots, while Alexander Ward led CC with three.

Broad made six saves, while Otero had three.

Hale and Charlie Wagner were named to the all-tournament teams, while Wagner earned the prestigious Elite 19 Award.

St. Thomas (13-3-1) advances to the SCAC championship game on Sunday, while the Tigers (13-3-1), which cruised through the league regular-season with an 8-0 record, will wait to see if they receive a bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The selection show is Monday, Nov. 6, at noon (MT).
