Lucas Pastor and Jack Delafield each won his singles match Thursday, but the Colorado College men's tennis team fell to SCAC foe and 19^th-ranked Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
 
The Tigers, who won the most matches against Southwestern since the 2018 SCAC Tournament, dropped all three highly-contested doubles matches. Oscar Roy and Ashton Ellis downed Andrew Kaelin and Nate Beerman, 8-6, at the top spot, Bernie Clemente and Parth Patel defeated August Knox and Nick Bishop, 8-5, at the No. 2 position, while Sebastian Herrera and Stephen Tibbets beat Pastor and Aiden Little, 8-5, at No. 3
 
In singles action, Pastor handled Tibbets, 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 2 position, while Delafield took care of Anton Borovik, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 6. Little won the first set at the top spot before falling to Clemente, who is ranked 19^th in the West Region, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0(3).
 
The Pirates won the other three matches in straight sets. 
 
"Southwestern proved to be a battle-tested team," head coach Anthony Weber said. "We had some good looks and made good decisions on big points that didn't go our way. That was the difference in winning two instead of five matches." 
 
The Tigers return to action on Friday, April 14, against SCAC-foe Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, beginning at 1 p.m. (MT).
