The Colorado College men's tennis team nearly rallied from a 4-1 deficit to UT-Dallas on Saturday, but eventually fell to the Comets, 5-4, in Richardson, Texas.

The Tigers trailed 3-0 after hard-fought doubles matches. Nathan Qi and Ritvik Ganesan defeated
Andrew Kaelin and
Nate Beerman, 8-6, at the top spot, while Snehin Yarregudi and Nick Bouquet beat
August Knox and
Nick Bishop, 8-5, at the No. 2 position. Eddy Shteyn and Jed De Luna completed the sweep with an 8-6 decision over
Aiden Little and
Lucas Pastor at No. 3.

The teams split the first two singles matches off the court to give UT-Dallas a 4-1 advantage. Shteyn downed Beerman, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 3, while CC's Kaelin beat Aryan Sharma, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 5.

The Tigers won the next three matches to even the match at 4-4. Little rallied to beat Yarregudi, 0-6, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 1 position, Knoxtacked down Ganesan for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, victory at No. 4, and Pastor split the first two sets with Qi, 4-6, 7-6, before Qi retired prior to the third set.

The match came down to the No. 6 spot, where CC's
Jack Delafield forced a third set with De Luna before falling, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

The Tigers wrap up their Texas road trip on Sunday, April 16, against SCAC-foe Austin College in Sherman, Texas, beginning at 9 a.m. (MT).
