The Colorado College men's tennis team opened its weekend road trip to California with a hard-fought 6-3 loss to Cal Lutheran University Saturday afternoon in Thousand Oaks.

The Regals jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches. The Tigers' No. 3 team of
Aiden Little and
Lucas Pastor defeated Cade Haffner and Jacob de la Paz, 8-5.

Pastor, ranked No. 25 in the West Region, rallied to beat Darvel Lossangoye, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0(8), for his fifth straight win at the No. 2 spot, while
Jack Delafield won the No. 6 match, 1-6, 7-5, 1-0(6), over Andy Ai. Cal Lutheran won the other four matches, including a thrilling 1-6, 7-5, 1-0(9) victory by Haffner over
Andrew Kaelin at No. 5.

The Tigers (6-11) play their final regular-season match on Sunday, April 23, against Chapman University in Orange, Calif., beginning at 2 p.m. (MT).
