The Comets took an early 1-0 lead just 4:28 into the contest. Riley O'Donnell sent a crossing pass from the left side and found Kane Kidwell streaking from the right side. Kidwell placed a shot from eight yards out past CC keeper
Jasper Broad.

UT-Dallas doubled its lead with two seconds remaining in the first half. Luke Deat took a pass in the box and beat Broad to the upper right corner of the net.

The Tigers cut the lead to one in the 66
th minute.
Rex Karjian dribbled the ball into the left side of the box and was taken down, resulting in a penalty kick converted by
Jack Hilliard. The freshman beat Comet goalie Michael Hesse to the right side for his second goal of the season.

The Tigers put three shots on Hesse the rest of the way, but could not get the equalizer.

Colorado College (3-2-1) held an 18-9 advantage in total shots and 7-4 in shots on target. Hesse finished with six saves, while Broad had two for CC, which saw its four-games unbeaten streak come to an end.

"We played well for long stretches of the game, but soccer is a game of details and our lack of attention to them continues to cost us points," head coach
Scott Palguta said. "We have a good team but are still searching for a thorough 90-minute effort."Â
