Brock Bremer scored the game-winning goal in the third period to lead 12
th-ranked Omaha past No. 10 Colorado College, 2-1, in the NCHC quarterfinal series finale Sunday evening at Ed Robson Arena.

Klavs Veinbergs gave CC its first lead during regulation time in the series with a power-play goal at the 15:34 mark of the first period to put the Tigers up 1-0.
Evan Werner's shot from the right point was saved by Omaha goalie Simon Latkoczy, then
Noah Laba had a shot from right in front saved and Veinbergs put home the rebound.

Omaha's Griffin Ludtke put the puck in the net at the 13:07 mark of the second period, but after a lengthy review, the play was called offside and CC held on to its one-goal lead.

The Mavericks eventually tied it up at the 17:20 mark of the middle frame when Jimmy Glynn placed a backhander past CC goalie
Kaidan Mbereko.

Omaha took the lead for good when Bremer scored his second goal of the weekend at the 6:37 mark of the third period. He took a pass from Ludtke in front of the net and placed a backhander past Mbereko.

The Tiger netminder headed to the bench for the final 2:21, but Latkoczy made two of his 31 saves during that time.

CC outshot Omaha, 32-22, on Sunday and 122-58 for the series. The Tigers scored on one of their two power-play opportunities, while Omaha was 0-for-1.

Colorado College will wait to see if it makes the NCAA Tournament. The bracket will be announced on Sunday, March 24. A national tournament berth would mark the first for the Tigers since 2011.
