Tigers Drop Season Finale to Southwestern in SCAC Semis

The Colorado College men's tennis team wrapped up its 2023-24 season Saturday night with a 5-1 loss to Southwestern University, 5-1, in the semifinals of the SCAC Tournament in Dallas, Texas.
 
The second-seeded Pirates took a 3-0 lead after the doubles matches. Their No. 1 team of Oscar Roy and Joseph Snyman defeated Andrew Kaelin and Aiden Little, 8-2, while Parth Patel and Bernardo Clemente downed Nic Anderson and Nate Beerman, 8-5, at the No. 2 position. Dominik Kaminski and Justin Boder fell at No. 3, 8-4, to Travis Rafferty and Jared Burton.
 
In singles, Aiden Little captured the only singles win for the third-seeded Tigers, downing Anton Borovik, 6-2, 6-0. Southwestern won at No. 5 when Clemente beat Jack Delafield, 6-0, 6-2, and Ryan Flanagan clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Kaminski at No. 6.
 
CC's Lucas Pastor was winning the No. 2 match, 6-2, 5-2, while Southwestern was up a set in the other two matches when they were pulled.
 
The Tigers finish the season with a 7-13 record.
