The Colorado College men's tennis team opened its 2025 spring break trip on Saturday with a 5-2 loss to No. 34 CalTech in Pasadena, Calif.

The Red Foxes jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches.Andrew Zabelo and Eric He downed
Dominik Kaminski and
Lenny Lehmitz, 6-2, at the No. 1, while Tejas Ram / Constantin Cedillo beat
Nate Beerman and
Sam Dilworth by the same score at the No. 2 spot. Kenny Chan and Bharatton Sundar completed the sweep with a 6-4 victory over
Nick Anderson and
Nico Davis at No. 3.

Dilworth and Lehmitz each won his singles match against the Beavers. Dilworth won for the second time in a s many matches at the No. 4 position, beating Chan, 7-5, 7-5, while Lehmitz downed Marro Yang, 6-4, 6-2, at the No. 6 spot.

CalTech won the other four matches in straight sets.

The Tigers return to action on Monday, March 17, against 22
nd-ranked Redlands in Redlands, Calif., beginning at 5 p.m. (PT).
