Wilson Björck collected a career-high four assists and No. 11 Colorado College scored twice on the power play as the Tigers defeated Lindenwood, 4-2, Friday night at Ed Robson Arena.
Four different Tigers scored and
Jackson Unger had 20 saves for the Tigers, who improved to 7-2 this season.
Owen Beckner opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season at the 7:32 mark of the first period.
Björck skated around the net and found
Philippe Blais-Savoie (two assists) at the point. Blais-Savoie's shot was saved by Lindenwood goalie Liam Beerman, but Beckner was on the doorstep and put home the rebound.
Andrew LeBlanc tied the game for Lindenwood at 11:11 of the opening frame. Caden Brown sent a pass from behind the net to LeBlanc, who beat Unger from the slot.
Ryan Abraham put the Lions ahead just 29 seconds into the second period, capitalizing on a 2-on-1 rush with LeBlanc after LeBlanc intercepted a CC pass in the Lindenwood zone.
Less than four minutes later,
Carmelo Crandell scored his fifth goal in as many games, a power-play tally, to tie it back up at 2-2. Björck set Crandell up perfectly for a rocket from the left circle that cleanly beat Beerman at the 4:18 mark of the middle frame.
The Tigers took the lead for good when
Klavs Veinbergs produced a highlight video with a shorthanded goal with one minute remaining in the second period. Veinbergs took a pass from Björck, split a pair of Lindenwood defenders, put the puck off his own skate to his forehand and fired a wrister that went top shelf over Beerman's left shoulder.
Björck collected his fourth helper of the game when he fed
Colton Roberts for a blast from the point on the power play for the final goal of the game at the 6:39 mark of the third period. Björck is the first Tiger with four assists in a game since Beckner did it on Jan. 17, 2025 in a 7-2 victory over Minnesota Duluth.
The Tigers capitalized on half of their four power-play opportunities and killed both of their penalties. CC put a season-high 45 shots on net and Beerman finished with 41 saves for Lindenwood, which had 22 shots and fell to 3-6 this season.
The two teams will battle against on Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning at 4 p.m.
