Colorado College freshman Connor Hvidston has been named the KJ Branding NCHC Rookie of Week following CC's split at St. Cloud State last weekend.
 
Hvidston had one of the best weekends of his college career last weekend, tallying three points to help Colorado College earn a win and four conference points. On Friday, he handed out two primary assists for his first career multi-assist game, setting up CC's first two goals in a 6-5 overtime loss. The next night, Hvidston scored the Tigers' third goal late in the second period of an eventual 4-1 victory. He posted a career-best +3 on Saturday as well.
 
Hvidston finished the series with a goal and two assists, with his three points tying for tops among NCHC rookies on the weekend. He fired seven shots on goal at SCSU, including a career-high four on Saturday, and ended with a +5 plus/minus to pace all freshmen. He also won 13 faceoffs in the series. In 30 games this season, Hvidston is tied for fourth on the Tigers team with 16 points, including four goals and 12 assists.
 
CC hosts its final regular-season series of the season this weekend, Feb. 20-21, against 4^th-ranked Western Michigan at Ed Robson Arena.
