Cassamajor Called Up to Represent Haiti in 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Cycle

Colorado College rising junior forward Nadia Cassamajor has been selected to participate in training camp with the Haiti Women's National Team ahead of an upcoming 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying match.

Cassamajor joined the Haitian squad beginning Feb. 23, with camp set to culminate in a qualifying match against the Suriname Women's National Team on March 3.
Her selection followed a recent evaluation period in which she was identified through scouting by the Haitian Football Federation earlier this winter. After initial contact with national team staff, the process progressed quickly, leading to a formal call-up and her participation in the current training camp.

"Receiving this call-up truly means so much to me," Cassamajor said. "Having the opportunity to represent Haiti in the CONCACAF qualifiers that will directly lead to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup is such a big honor that I will not take for granted. Haiti holds a special place in my heart as it is a strong piece of my family lineage, and I am beyond grateful that I have been presented with the chance to represent the country."

Cassamajor's connection to Haiti is rooted in family heritage, with grandparents on both sides from the country and her father born there.

"Ever since they moved to the United States many years ago, they've kept a strong sense of closeness to Haiti and have shared their love for the culture within our family," she said.

"We are so excited for Nadia to be called into a camp with Haiti," Colorado College head coach Keri Sanchez said. "She performed well for us this past fall and has continued to train this offseason knowing there might be a chance to get called in with Haiti. We are thrilled that the national team scouts have noticed her and are giving her a chance to prove herself at the international level."

Cassamajor played a key role for the Tigers during the 2025 season, appearing in all 18 matches with 18 starts while recording three assists and logging more than 1,200 minutes on the field.

Cassamajor's selection places her within Haiti's player pool as the program begins its qualifying path toward the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. Haiti most recently qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, marking a historic milestone for the program and highlighting its continued rise within the CONCACAF region.
