The Colorado College men's tennis team captured the SCAC regular-season title on Saturday with a pair of road 7-0 victories over Austin College and the University of Dallas.
The Tigers (12-6, 10-0 SCAC) won the second conference championship in program history, joining the 1956 team that won the Rocky Mountain Conference.
On Saturday, CC handily won both matches, losing no more than three games in any of the six doubles matches and all 12 singles matches in straight sets.
"Our guys have invested a great amount of time and energy into themselves and their teammates during the season,"head coach
Anthony Weber said. "It is great when you see the return on that investment. While it's a big achievement to claim the regular season title, they have always had the eye on the tournament next week."
The Tigers wrap up the regular season on Sunday, April 19, against 17
th-ranked Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, beginning at 3 p.m. (CT).
