The Colorado College men's tennis team will make the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday, May 8, when the Tigers travel to Claremont, Calif., to face No. 15-ranked Sewanee at 3 p.m. (PT).

The Tigers (14-6) earned an automatic berth to the tournament by winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title last Sunday. Colorado College rolled through the SCAC schedule this season with a 10-0 regular-season record and collecting a 4-0 victory over Concordia University in the conference final on April 26.

Saturday's winner faces either 3
rd-ranked Claremont (30-1) or East Texas Baptist (13-7) on Saturday, May 9, for the right to advance to the national quarterfinals.

The contest against Sewanee will be CC's fourth of the season against an opponent ranked in the ITA's Division III poll. Earlier this year, the Tigers played No. 1 Claremont, No. 11 Babson and No. 31 Cal Tech.
