Tigers Endure First Setback of the Season, Fall 2-0 to UTSA

SAN ANTONIO — Colorado College (2-1-0) fell to UTSA (1-0-2) with a final score of 2-0 on Thursday at Park West Athletics Complex. Colorado College managed six shots during the match, with one shot on goal.
 
First Half
- Kendall Memoly took the first shot for Colorado College at 1:05, but the attempt did not find the target.
- In the fourth minute, UTSA found the net for what for a moment was the first goal of the match, but after a CC challenge, the goal was called back for a foul in the box.
- In the 12th minute, Ava Jackson put UTSA ahead with a goal, following up a saved attempt by Brooklyn Bailey.
- Regan Wallace made two crucial saves for the visiting side, stopping shots from Olivia Christodoulides at 4:28 and Kacey Grahmann at 24:56.
- UTSA led 1-0 at the break, maintaining a steady offensive pressure with multiple corner kicks and shots.
 
Second Half 
- At 52:24, UTSA earned a corner kick, maintaining pressure on Colorado College's defense. 
- Sadie Paul extended the home team's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 56th minute, assisted by Ava Jackson and Sabrina Taber. 
- Colorado College's Dayleigh Bos had a shot saved by UTSA's Kylie Kissee at 81:49, leading to a series of corner kicks that increased the offensive pressure. 
- Despite multiple attempts, including shots from Ella Ashouri and Lily Smith, Colorado College was unable to convert, ending the game with a 2-0 loss.
 
Regan Wallace played the full 90 minutes and made three saves. Bos took two shots, with one on target. Smith contributed defensively and took one shot. Memoly recorded one shot during the match.
 
Colorado College has a record of 2-1-0 overall. UTSA holds a record of 1-0-2 overall.
 
In its next game, Colorado College will travel to face Oklahoma on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 11 am CT in Norman, Oklahoma.
