Women's Soccer Earns the 1-1 Draw Against South Dakota State

BROOKINGS, S.D. — Colorado College drew South Dakota State 1-1 on Thursday. Colorado College withstood six South Dakota State attacking actions from 86:06 to 88:48 without conceding after the match was level at 1-1.
 
First Half
- South Dakota State created early chances with a corner at 1:07 and shots at 5:48, 9:28 and 16:11, while Colorado College's first listed shot was Finley Schoenbeck's saved attempt at 12:41.
- Colorado College built pressure later in the half, earning corners at 23:24 and 29:07 around an Ella Ashouri shot, then adding an Erin diVittorio attempt, a corner at 41:36 and Kate Pulley's shot at 42:12.
- South Dakota State broke through at 43:23 when Deizha Lyn Jacinto scored off assists from MaKynlie Cade and Emma Brezenski, sending Colorado College into halftime down 1-0.
 
Second Half
- Colorado College generated early pressure after halftime with five shots and four corner kicks between 46:34 and 56:27, including saved shots by Taylor Mentink and Tyler Rose.
- Chloe Bunton tied the match 1-1 at 68:31, scoring off assists from Charlotte Strabel and Dayleigh Bos. It was Bunton's first collegiate goal. Charlotte Strabel and Dayleigh Bos each recorded their first assist of the season.
- Colorado College added another push while the match was level, taking three shots and two corner kicks from 76:27 to 83:02, with Ella Ashouri's shot saved by Mallorie Benhart.
- South Dakota State pressed late with four shots and two corner kicks from 86:06 to 88:48, but Regan Wallace saved Katelyn Beulke's attempt to keep the score at 1-1.
 
Chloe Bunton scored Colorado College's goal, putting her lone shot on frame. Charlotte Strabel recorded an assist for one point. Dayleigh Bos also tallied an assist for one point. Ella Ashouri led Colorado College with three shots and added one attempt on goal.
