Colorado College (1-0-0) defeated Whitworth (0-1-0) 3-0 on Friday at Stewart Field. Colorado College outshot Whitworth 18-2, including 14-2 in the second half, and put seven shots on goal while allowing one.
First Half
- Colorado College generated early pressure with a corner kick at 1:56 and a
Jack Purvis shot off the right woodwork at 7:40.

Teddy Opler put a shot on goal at 12:38, and Purvis added another attempt saved by Dax Flanders at 27:47 before
Jack Hilliard shot high at 29:53.
- Colorado College earned another corner at 36:52, but the half ended without a goal.
Second Half
- Colorado College pressed early in the half, generating seven shots and two corner kicks before the match moved past the 63rd minute still scoreless.
- Opler broke through at 64:58 off a
Rocco Meyerhoff assist to put Colorado College ahead 1-0, and the same pair connected again at 65:22 to make it 2-0.

Whit Hynes at 75:13, extending the lead to 3-0.

Spencer Besselaar saved Whitworth's shot at 84:46, and Colorado College added late pressure with a
Wyatt Linggi shot off the woodwork, a corner kick and two more shots before finishing the 3-0 win.
Opler scored twice, including the game-winning goal, and put three of his four shots on goal. Opler reached a milestone of 25 shots on goal, with a total of 26, including three in the current game. Rich added a goal on his only shot. Meyerhoff recorded two assists and finished with two points. Besselaar played all 90 minutes in goal, made one save and posted a shutout.
Colorado College is 1-0-0 overall. Whitworth is 0-1-0 overall.
