Biography
2011: Placed 10th at SCAC Championships (22:57) to garner all-league honors.. Her time of 22:26 was good for 18th at regionals, earning her All-West Region accolades...Earned team's 'Most Inspirational" award and shared "Most Improved" award with Devin Nadar.
2010:
Recipient of the “Most Valuable Runner Award” based on her leadership abilities, strong work ethic, and consistently high placing in races … ran a team-leading personal best time of 23:33 and finished 11th overall at the SCAC Championships earning All-Conference honors … set a personal 5K best of 19:35.
2009: Led the team with a personal-record and season-best 6K clocking of 24:33 at the regional championships ... recipient of the annual Jennifer Nesbitt-Most Inspirational Award.
2008: Ran a personal-best 25:23 in the 6K and a season-best 21:40 in the 5K, emerging as CC’s leading runner before seeing her freshman season end prematurely due to a health issue in mid-September.
Before Colorado College: Harkins earned a total of 11 varsity letters at Villa Walsh Academy in New Jersey, where she played lacrosse in addition to running cross country and track during her prep career ... a national merit scholar who earned all-conference recognition as a high-school athlete.
