2016: Team captain … named team co-MVP and most inspirational runner … SCAC champion in 800, defeating three-time defending champion … all-SCAC with second-place finish in 4x400 relay … broke 21-year old indoor 800 record at Joe Davies Open with 2:24.65anchored relay with Duranya Freeman, Ayla Loper and Ellie Swanson in setting indoor school record for 4x400 relay in 4:19.57 at Joe Davies Open … broke 21-year outdoor school record in 800 at Occidental Invite (2:14.64) … fourth in 800 and 1500 at Willamette Opener Meet … fourth in 800 at CSU-Pueblo Pack Classic … sixth in 800 at KT Woodman Classic … won 800 and second in 400 at Masters Open at USAFA.

2014: After posting a personal record of 2:34.39 in the 800 meters at her collegiate debut early in the season, Messick was able to pare that time down to a season-best of 2:31.32 at the SCAC Championships in late April, good for a ninth-place finish as a freshman … named the team’s most inspirational runner.   

Before Colorado College: Played striker and center midfield on the soccer team at Berthoud High School in addition to running cross country and track there ... a first-team academic all-state selection her last three years ... ran personal best of 17:17 in the 4K and 20 minutes flat in the 5K.
