HIGHLIGHTS AS A TIGER
2007-08: One of five Tigers to earn the prestigious WCHA Scholar Athlete Award, which he claimed along with All-Academic Team honors for the second consecutive season, Gannon played in all 41 games while serving as an alternate captain his junior year...established himself as Colorado College’s top penalty killer (98 percent) while leading the team in hits (113) and blocked shots (52)...assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Anchorage Alaska in late November and helped set up a key goal in a league title-clinching 5-2 triumph at Denver in early March.
2006-07: Winner of the annual Dave Peterson Award as the team’s Most Improved Player...scored the first goal of his collegiate career, a shorthanded effort, in an 8-1 triumph over Alabama-Huntsville...earlier assisted on CC’s first tally in a season-opening 2-1 victory over Air Force.
2005-06: Played in 26 games his rookie year, making his mark as a hard-hitting physical presence in the neutral zone and defensive end...also contributed offensively with assists in victories over Michigan Tech and Alaska Anchorage.
HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS: Gannon finished the 2004-05 season with Sioux City of the United States Hockey League, helping the Musketeers reach the Clark Cup finals...played 45 games earlier in the campaign with the Team Illinois Midget AAA team that took second place at the prestigious Mac’s Tournament...collected 26 points (5g,21a) in those 45 outings, then added 4 (1g,3a) in 25 games with Sioux City.
