Biography
2020-21: Played in all eight games, including one as a starter … Ranked ninth among the field players with 483 minutes … Played the full 90 minutes in the season finale against the University of New Mexico … Helped the defense post a pair of shutouts and finish fifth in the Mountain West with a 1.18 goals-against average … Launched three shots, two of which were on target … Earned her second appearance on the Academic All-Mountain West Team for posting a grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
2019: Started 12 of CC’s 17 games … Ranked sixth on the team with 1,164 minutes … Played every minute on five occasions, including three of the team’s six shutouts … Helped CC finish fourth in the Mountain West with 20 goals allowed and fifth with a 1.18 goals-against average … Her first collegiate goal, scored on a header in the 56th minute, was the game winner in the 4-0 win over St. Francis University … Also played every minute against the Red Flash to help the Tigers post their first clean sheet of the season … Named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week for the first time.
2018: Played in all 18 games, including 14 as a starter … Ranked sixth on the team and second among the newcomers with 1,292 minutes played … Helped the Colorado College defense post seven overall shutouts, including three in conference play … The Tigers recorded clean sheets in two of its three Colorado Cup games and captured the traveling trophy for the first time since its inception in 2011 … After allowing the first goal in the 2-1 victory at the University of Northern Colorado, CC played 253:08 without conceding another score and blanked both the University of Denver (2-0) and Air Force (1-0) … Colorado College posted a 0.33 GAA in its three Colorado Cup games this season … Earned a spot on the Academic All-Mountain West Team for posting a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better during the fall semester.
Club Notes: A member of PSV Union FC’s U19/U18 team since she was a U16 player.
High School Notes: Played two seasons at Aragon High School in San Mateo, Calif. … As a junior, she helped the Dons reach the California Interscholastic Federation Central Coast Section playoffs for the first time in four years … Earned a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years … A life member of the California Scholarship Federation.
Coach’s Comments: “Toni can play a couple of different positions. She can sit in the hole as a deep-line midfielder and has a chance to play as a center defender on our back line. Toni can do both equally well because of her intelligence, vocal ability and leadership. She’s very composed and very good on the ball.”
