Daniel Castaneda

Daniel Castaneda, a 2006 Colorado College graduate, has been a member of the CC coaching staff for cross country and track and field since earning his degree.
 
Castaneda, the son of longtime CC cross country and track and field head coach Ted Castaneda, holds the school records in the mile (4:25.7) and is a co-holder of the Distance Medley Relay record (10:22).

He qualified for the NCAAs in the 1,500 his senior year placing ninth overall and ran in a pair of NCAA Division III cross country championship meets.

Over his CC coaching career, he has guided several Tigers to school records, including Josh Fry in the men’s 800 (1:52.66) and the men’s 1,500 (3:49.97) this past season.
