Ryan Durocher

Ryan Durocher has been named the director of hockey operations at Colorado College.
 
Durocher comes to Colorado Springs after serving as an assistant coach at Sacred Heart University during the 2021-22 season. He worked with the team’s defensive unit and penalty kill, which topped Atlantic Hockey with a .841 percentage. He also helped a pair of players earn Atlantic Hockey all-league honors. 
 
Prior to his stint at Sacred Heart, Durocher was on the staff as an assistant coach at Robert Morris University for the 2020-21 campaign. He worked mostly with the power play, which was ranked No. 5 in in the nation at 25 percent, as well as faceoffs.
 
“I am excited that Ryan will be joining our staff,” Mayotte said. “We are fortunate to have someone with his experience and knowledge in this position. Ryan is an accomplished coach with a great hockey mind and I look forward to him contributing to our program in many ways.”
 
Durocher was an assistant coach with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League for two seasons (2018-20) after stints as the video coach for the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Devils (’17-18) and St. Lawrence University (’15-17).
 
Prior to his coaching career, Durocher played Division III hockey at SUNY Cortland, where he graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in sports management. He then earned his master's in sports management in 2014 from Southern New Hampshire University, where he began his coaching career at the DII level before moving on to join the EHL's New England Wolves staff in 2014.
