Biography

HIGHLIGHTS AS A TIGER
2009-10:
A two-time selection to the WCHA All-Academic Team, Lowery emerged as a major force at the Colorado College blue line while playing in all but one contest...with four goals and 14 assists, he far exceeded his totals of the previous two seasons combined...recorded five multiple-point outings and factored in on a pair of game-winning goals, scoring one in a 6-4 victory over NCAA tournament participant St. Cloud State University at the World Arena in late January...a near unanimous choice in the voting for team captain in 2010-11.
2008-09: Missed only one of CC’s 38 games as a sophomore...struck for the game-winning goal in a 3-2 home-ice victory over the University of Denver...also assisted on the GWG in a 5-3 triumph over Minnesota, and set up the game-tying tally with 97 seconds left in regulation of a 1-1 tie at DU in the regular-season finale.
2007-08:
Earned a spot as one of CC’s regular six defensemen by mid-season and played in 24 of the team’s final 25 games as a freshman...appeared in 32 outings altogether, finishing with a very respectable +5 plus-minus rating... his first career goal was the game winner in a 3-1 victory at St. Cloud State in mid-December, and he assisted on another GWG when the Tigers beat Denver, 5-2, to clinch their WCHA regular-season championship in early March.

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS: Lowery played 17 games for the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League in 2006-07, picking up five assists before suffering a season-ending injury...had two assists in five games with Lincoln at the end of the 2005-06 campaign after playing 70 games for the Illinois midget AAA state team, for which he collected 47 points (12g,35a) and helped go undefeated in its first 42 outings...recipient of the 2005 Tim Rice Award as Defensive MVP at the Marquette Fall Classic, he also participated in the 2004 and 2005 USA Select Festivals.
