2010: Ran personal-best times of 11.49 seconds in the 100 dash and 23.16 in the 200 at the Grinnell (Iowa) Invitational.

Before Colorado College: A three-sport athlete at Pikes Peak Christian High School, where he also played basketball and football, Thorne emerged as a state qualifier and finalist in the 100 and 200 meters his last two years as a prep...ran a 11.2 in the 100 and a 22.4 in the 200 at the state meet...also competed in the jumping and throwing events PPCHS.
