2019: Played in 14 games, including four as a starter … Ranked 11th on the team with 647 minutes … Tied for second with three goals, tied for third with a pair of assists and finished fourth with eight points … Ranked fourth with nine shots on goal and fifth with 18 total shots … Struck for a pair of goals, including the game winner, in the 3-2 victory at Air Force in her final game as a Tiger … Set up Jacqui Hand’s game winner in the 1-0 win over Colorado State University in the first-ever night game at Stewart Field … Scored on her first-ever penalty kick during the 3-1 win over Siena College … Finished her career with 10 goals and three assists for a total of 23 points, which tied her for 51st in program history … Achieved Mountain West Scholar-Athlete status for the third time after completing the 2019-20 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 ... Also earned her fourth appearance on the Academic All-Mountain West Team for posting a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall semester.

2018: Played in 17 of 18 games, including seven as a starter … Logged 726 minutes, which ranked 10th on the team … Struck for CC’s second goal in the 2-0 victory over the University of Denver in the Colorado Cup game in Boulder … Finished third on the team with 27 total shots and 15 shots on goal … Received the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Award for completing the academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher ... Earned a spot on the Academic All-Mountain West Team for the third time.

2017: Played in all 19 games, including eight as a starter … Ranked 10th on the team with a personal best 902 minutes  … Finished second with 31 total shots and 12 shots on goal … Tied for second with four goals and was third with nine points, both of which were single-season highs … Struck for a pair of second-half goals, including her the game, in the 4-3 victory at Air Force in the season finale … Scored her first of the year in the 1-1 tie at Yale University … Set up Rae Conlon’s insurance goal in the 2-0 win over Army West Point … Also found the net against San Jose State … Tied her career high of five shots in the 0-0 tie against Colorado State University ... Won the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Award for the first time ... Named to the Academic All-Mountain West Team for the second time. 

2016: Appeared in 13 games, including three as a starter … Logged 426 minutes, seeing a considerable increase in playing time during the second half of the season … Her first collegiate goal was the game winner in the 2-0 victory at Colorado State University … Also found the net at San Jose State University … Tied for third on the team with a pair of goals and tied for fourth with four points … Finished third on the team with nine shots on goal and tied for fourth with 16 total shots … Launched a season-high five shots, three of which were on frame, against Air Force in the season finale ... ODP and Club Notes: Has six years of Olympic Development Program experience, three apiece in Region I and Region IV … Played four years with the Rush Select National Team … Helped the Prince William Courage claim the 2015 National Premier League (NPL) and Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) championships … PWSI also advanced to the finals of the 2015 state cup … Advanced to the finals of the New Mexico state tournament and won the November Nights championship in 2014.
 
High School Notes: Earned five varsity letters playing soccer between Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Va., and Los Alamos High School in Los Alamos NM … A first-team New Mexico All-State and All-District selection in 2013 and 2014 … Also named District Player of the Year each year, and was the 2014 District 2 Top Offensive Player in 5A … A three-time academic All-District selection 2011-14 … Daughter of  former Tiger  Ann Cernicek, who ranks 12th in program history with 23 goals and is tied for 16th with 52 points.

Coach's Comments: “Catie is a goal scorer, plain and simple. She loves to find gaps in back lines and make penetrating runs to get herself a look at goal.
