Brian Lux, a fixture in the Colorado soccer community for almost 30 years, is in his first season as a member of the Colorado College coaching staff.
Lux is best known for his work with Rush Pikes Peak Soccer Club in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he has served in a wide range of leadership positions including director of soccer operations, director of the Rush Select Program and director of coaching.

In addition to his work in Colorado Springs, Lux has been active with Sports Partners International, a division of Rush Soccer in Littleton, Colo.

His duties at SPI began as an age-group coach, director of goalkeeper coaches and technical director for Rush branches in the Caribbean. Lux now is director of the Rush Select Program and director of international affairs.

Lux also coached goaltenders for the Colorado College men’s program in 2012 as well as the men’s and women’s keepers at the United States Air Force Academy in 2011.

After graduating from Lakewood High School, Lux played two seasons of Division I soccer at Drury University in Springfield, Mo. He completed his career at the University of Denver, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Physics in 2007.

Lux’s vast array of coaching licenses includes a United States Soccer Federation ‘A’ License, a USSF National Goalkeeper License, a USSF National Youth License and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma.

He also is certified in CPR/First Aid/AED as well as concussion safety.
