Biography
2011: A first-team selection on Conference USA’s All-Academic Team … Recipient of the team’s Stephen Paul Award … Started all 20 games and was second with 1,763 minutes played … Scored the game-winning goal in CC’s first victory of the year, a 1-0 decision against Jacksonville … Also scored a key goal in the 4-1 win over Tulsa … An excellent defensive midfielder who helped CC record nine shutouts and hold 17 of 20 opponents to fewer than 10 shots on goal … Only one-C-USA opponent managed 10 attempts on target … After a 4-1 loss to North Carolina on Sept. 4, CC lowered its goals-against average from 2.41 to 1.07 … The Tigers allowed just five goals in conference play and tied for first with a 0.45 GAA.
2010: One of nine CC players to appear in all 19 games, Wise also was one of three to earn the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal ... recorded both of her assists on the road, in a 3-0 victory at the University of Wyoming in early September and a 2-1 defeat at Marshall University in late October.
2009: Wise played in all but one match as a sophomore, starting in 11 ... despite focusing more on defense, she launched 20 shots for the campaign and picked up an assist in a 2-0 Conference USA victory over the University of Tulsa in late September.
2008: Earned All-Freshman Team honors in the Central Region from
SoccerBuzz.com, as well as in C-USA, after a glittering rookie season ... assisted on the game-winning goal in her collegiate debut, a 3-1 opening-day victory over the University of Oklahoma … factored in on three GWG altogether, scoring one in a 4-0 triumph over UAB in early October after setting up an overtime tally against the University of Denver three weeks earlier...one of only six Tigers to play in every match.
Before Colorado College: Wise earned High School All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a junior in 2007...earned all-region recognition her last two years and was all-district all four years as a prep, including first-team accolades three times, during an illustrious career at two-time defending district champion Allen (Texas) High School...served as team captain and was named District Defensive Player of the Year in 2008...a former member (2002-04) of the North Texas ODP State Team.

"Kelsey is an absolute worker and tireless player on both sides of the ball. She is a winner and that shows in how hard she works every day in training and in games. Kelsey is one of our better players in the air and we think she will bring more to our attack this fall than in past years."
