As a Tiger
2007: Recognized among the nation’s top 100 players for the second consecutive campaign, Uyenishi earned honorable mention on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Women’s College Team of the Season as a junior last fall...one of four Tigers to receive All-Central Region accolades from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America...also earned third-team All-Region honors from SoccerBuzz.com and was a repeat first-team All-Conference USA pick...a tri-captain and outstanding defender who also scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in a 3-1 victory over the University of Houston.
2006: A fourth-team selection to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s national Team of the Season her sophomore year, Uyenishi also earned second-team All-Central Region honors from TDS, SoccerBuzz.com and the NSCAA...voted to the All-Conference USA First Team and the C-USA post-season all-tournament team ...among her three goals were the game winner in a 1-0 victory over Memphis in mid-October and the team’s only tally in its 2-1 NCAA playoff loss to the University of Colorado.
2005: Uyenishi was voted Newcomer of the Year among the nation’s Division I Independent programs her freshman season, when she played every minute of every match...one of four CC players voted to the national All-Independent Team…also named to SoccerBuzz.com’s Central Region All-Freshman Team…assisted on the game-winning goal in her collegiate debut, a 1-0 victory over Iowa...later notched her first career tally late in the first half of a 2-1 loss at nationally ranked Kansas...was instrumental in helping the Tigers hold their opponents to under a goal per game over the course of the season...the team’s 0.96 goals-against average ranks as its lowest in the last 14 seasons.
Before Colorado College
Uyenishi, a former member of the Illinois '86 State team (1999-2002) and ODP Region II pool (2002), attended and played soccer at Lake Zurich High School...helped Lake Zurich to one runner-up and two third-place finishes in the state tournament her first three years, and earned all-state honors as a sophomore, junior and senior after being named team Rookie of the Year in 2002...Elected captain as a senior in 2005, she also was a club teammate of Geneva Sills on the 2005 national amateur champion Eclipse Select.
