Andy Obringer returned to the Colorado College athletics department in October of 2022 as the assistant director of the Adam F. Press Fitness Center after spending a year as the manager for venues at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs.
He worked in the athletics department at CC for 10 years before departing for the USOPC in August of 2021. He spent the first five as the coordinator of sports services, then was promoted to assistant athletics director for operations in 2015.
A graduate of Ohio University, Obringer served as facility operations assistant for the new Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs in 2011. He previously spent three years as assistant director of the University of Dayton Arena and Sports Complex, where he was involved in the coordination of all sporting events that took place in that facility, from set-up to tear-down.
He also managed operations and volunteers for the 2005 U.S. Senior Open golf championship in Dayton.
