Christina Lorete

Christina Lorete was named the campus recreation athletic trainer at Colorado College in August of 2021.
 
Lorete’s primary area of responsibility at CC is working with the club sports, but she also serves as the medical point person for intramurals participants and all other casual users of the Adam F. Press Fitness Center.
 
Prior to joining the CC athletics department, Lorete provided athletic training coverage for the United States Army at Fort Carson, Colo., including corrective exercises and injury prevention education during daily Physical Readiness Training.
 
From 2018-2020, she served as the Program Coordinator for Athletic Training at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. At UCCS, she developed and oversaw the health and safety of the club sports program and approximately 500 athletes. She also served as an athletic trainer at Boeing in Everett, Wash., from 2016-2018 where she provided injury prevention services to manufacturing employees.
 
Lorete, a native of Virginia Beach, Va., earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from George Mason University in 2013. Three years later, she earned a master’s degree in post-professional athletic training from Norfolk State University, and served as a graduate assistant on the athletic training staff there for two years.
 
Lorete obtained a Performance Enhancement Specialist certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is a licensed athletic trainer in the State of Colorado.
