Dr. Brooke Rundle joined the Colorado College Volleyball staff in 2025 as a Mental Performance Consultant. Dr. Rundle’s approach to sport psychology is deeply rooted in her experience as an NCAA Division I All-American and professional volleyball player. Dr. Rundle had an illustrious volleyball career at UC Santa Barbara, where she led the Gauchos to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament twice. After her collegiate career, she went on to play volleyball professionally in Slovenia and the Netherlands. Between playing, coaching, and consulting, Dr. Rundle has over 20 years of volleyball experience working with youth, collegiate, professional, and national federation volleyball teams throughout the US, Europe, and Central America.
Dr. Rundle is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with dual degrees in Sport Performance Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is the founder of
Headstrong Mindset, a Colorado based private practice that combines evidence-based research with applied sport psychology strategies to help athletes and teams overcome mental obstacles and optimize their performance. Dr. Rundle provides mental performance consulting to USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP), in addition to several NCAA collegiate athletes and teams in volleyball, soccer, softball, track, cross country, and tennis.
Dr. Rundle resides in Denver, Colo., with her wife, Hannah, and dog, Steve Budd.
