Katrina (Kat) Miller-Stevens has been a member of the Colorado College faculty since 2016. She is an Associate Professor in the Economics & Business Department and began her term as Faculty Athletics Representative in 2024. She has also served as the academic advisor for CC’s NCAA Division 1 Hockey Team since 2022.
Kat’s academic interests include public policy, social impact, and nonprofit studies. She earned her undergraduate Liberal Arts degree in History from Colorado State University in 1999. Her graduate studies include a Master of Nonprofit Management degree from Regis University in 2004 and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010.
Prior to joining Colorado College, she taught for six years in the School of Public Service at Old Dominion University in Virginia. Before that, she worked in the nonprofit sector for ten years as a budget coordinator, grants manager, and program evaluator. She is also a proud AmeriCorps alumna.
