Marcin Szczyglowski joined the Colorado College Sports Medicine Staff in March of 2022 as the Coordinator of Rehabilitation for the athletic department, as well as the point medical contact for the cross country and track & field programs.Â
Szczyglowski earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS).
Szczyglowski came to CC with prior experience in Division I and professional sports. He completed his Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship at The Ohio State University, working with the Cleveland Guardians and their AAA team, the Columbus Clippers. He completed his Sports Physical Therapy Residency at the University of Miami, working for the Miami Hurricanes athletic department primarily with track & field, cross country, football, and baseball.Â
Szczyglowski has been a part of three peer-review publications as well as multiple poster abstracts presented at national and local conferences. He also guest lectures regularly at various academic institutions and has appeared on several podcasts. Â
Prior to his DPT, Szczyglowski earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2014. While at the University of Western Ontario, Szczyglowski also functioned as a strength & conditioning coach and personal trainer.
