Mark Riepe, assistant equipment manager for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, has been named the head equipment manager for the Colorado College hockey program.
Â
Riepe, who joined the Wolf Pack staff prior to the 2019-20 season, replaces Spud Hamilton, who retired after 16 years as the hockey equipment manager.
Â
He worked for the Maine Mariners of the ECHL during their inaugural season in 2018-19 before his five-year stint with Hartford. At Maine, Riepe was responsible for setting up the locker room operation from scratch.
Â
Prior to that, Riepe worked in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) with the Peoria Rivermen, earning SPHL Equipment Manager of the Year honors for his work during the 2017-18 season. Riepe also had a stint with the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) Lone Star Brahmas. The Brahmas won the Robertson Cup championship during Riepe’s stint in 2016-17.
Â
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Riepe and his wife, Taylor, are expecting their first child in October. They have three dogs, Kane, Holly and Walter.
