Ryan Gonzales

Ryan Gonzales was named the assistant director of strength & conditioning at Colorado College in November of 2025 and brings 8 years of coaching experience to Colorado Springs.

Prior to joining the CC staff, Gonzales served as an assistant sports performance coach at CSU-Pueblo from 2023-25. While there, he developed and implemented performance programs for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s golf, women's golf, men’s lacrosse, and assisted with the football program. He also helped develop the next generation of coaches through the internship program.

During his tenure with the Thunderwolves, he also coached at Jakt Training Facility in Colorado Springs, where he helped train high school and collegiate athletes in a 1-on-1 setting.

The majority of his coaching experience and mentorship comes from his time as the assistant director of performance at Speed & Strength Society, formerly known as The Arena, in Colorado Springs from 2019-22. There, he gained notable experience working with tactical athletes, UFC fighters, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes across multiple sports.

Gonzales earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from CSU-Pueblo in 2019 and his professional certifications include CSCS, USAW Level 1, and BLS. He completed an internship at the Air Force Academy while also competing and coaching Olympic Weightlifting during his free time.

A United States Army combat veteran, Gonzales serves as an infantryman and recon scout with the 4-9 infantry battalion ‘Manchus’ deploying twice to the Kandahar province of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
