Ryan Michels joined the staff at Ed Robson Arena in September 2026 as the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing and Events.
In this role, Michels leads the strategic development and day-to-day execution of digital and video promotional materials, signage and social media strategy for Ed Robson Arena. He manages the arena’s online presence and creative assets, providing graphics and promotional content to support broadcast and in-venue video productions. Additionally, Michels will assist with the planning and execution of campus and arena events and CC varsity hockey game-day operations.
Michels brings over five years of digital marketing and growth strategy experience to Colorado College. Prior to his role at the arena, he served as Growth Manager for Forest & Peak Retreats and Ridge Revenue in Colorado Springs, where he directed all digital marketing campaigns, revenue optimization and operations. Prior to that, he spent over four years as the Marketing and Advertising Coordinator for The HoneyBadger Project, where he led and managed operations for multi-channel organic and paid marketing campaigns.
A native of New Jersey, Michels relocated to Colorado Springs in 2025. He earned a bachelor of arts in strategic communication, with minors in business and history, from The Ohio State University in May 2023.
