The Colorado College volleyball team gave No. 14 Concordia College-Moorhead a scare, but the Cobbers came from behind to defeat CC 19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 27-25 on Friday afternoon at Reid Gymnasium.
Senior outside hitter
Laura McQuaid had four of her nine kills in the first set as CC rallied from an early deficit to claim to take a 1-0 lead, but the Tigers could not keep the momentum going and fell behind early in each of the next two sets.
Colorado College played its best in the third set when it .229 as a team. The Tigers overcame a four-point deficit to grab a 22-21 lead, but Concordia regained the lead on the strength of a 4-2 run and the best CC could do was force a pair of ties the rest of the way.
Junior rightside hitter Maggie Olsen had a match-high 10 kills to lead the Cobbers. Sophomore middle blocker Valerie Glynn added nine kills and five blocks.

Sarah Schmoker, all of whom finished with nine kills. Senior outside hitter
Anna Clithero had a team-high 16 kills to pace the CC defense.
The Tigers will play host to Whittier College in Friday's final match. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
