Tigers Split Pair of SCAC Matches

Colorado College split a pair of matches on Sunday, defeating Millsaps College in four sets before falling to No. 14 Southwestern University, 3-1, at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Central-West Crossover Matches at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark.

The 12th-ranked Tigers won three out of four matches to finish the weekend with a 21-3 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the SCAC. The loss to the Pirates snapped CC's 10-match winning streak.

Statistics for the weekend were not available as of Sunday night.

Colorado College slipped to third place in the conference standings behind Southwestern (10-0) and Trinity University (9-2).

CC will have an opportunity to move back ahead of Trinity next weekend when CC plays host to the SCAC East-West Crossover Matches at Reid Gymnasium.

The Tigers will face Oglethorpe University (10-2, 1-6) and Centre College (3-5, 12-8) on Friday, and then close out their conference schedule on Saturday against Sewanee (0-7, 3-15) and Trinity (19-6, 9-2).
