Jordy Stephenson scored a career-high 18 points as the Colorado College women's basketball team extended its winning streak to four games with a 90-78 victory over Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon in Mankato, Minn.
The Tigers improved to 6-1 by winning their first road game of the season while the Vikings dropped to 1-7.
Becky Luetjen scored 16 points, including the final seven of the first half as CC opened up a 41-34 lead.
Stephenson recorded 11 of her points in the second half to help the Tigers build a 68-50 lead with 9:55 remaining in the game and CC led by 20 with 7:51 to go.
Bethany Lutheran cut its deficit in half during the next 1:47 and trailed by nine points with 4:32 to go, but the Tigers answered with five consecutive points to build the lead back to 83-69 with 3:16 remaining and the Vikings were never able to cut CC's lead to single digits the rest of the way.
Collier Clegg had 16 points to reach double figures for the fourth time in seventh games, and Emily Wattman Turner added 11 points to give the Tigers four players with more than 10 points.
CC took control of the game by making 10 of 24 three-point shots, the most this season, and posting a 51-29 advantage on the boards.
The Viking made just four of 18 three pointers and shot .394 from the floor.
Anna Cepek led BLC with 14 points, while Casey Gudahl added 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
Colorado College will complete its two-game trip to Minnesota by playing at Crown College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
