Colorado College saw its eight-match winning streak stopped with a three-set loss at Colorado Christian University on Thursday night.
The Tigers slipped to 26-6 overall and 0-3 against Division II opponents from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Cougars improved to 16-11 while defeating CC for the first time since Oct. 18, 2006.
Senior middle blocker Erika Pirotte led the Tigers with 10 kills, while senior middle blocker Emily Perkins added eight terminations. Perkins also paced CC with eight digs.
CC recorded its third lowest hitting percentage of the season at .065, committing 14 errors that were not the result of CCU blocks.
Erica Brown had a match-high 18 kills to pace the Cougars, who also got a double-double from Andi Weber with 11 kills and 10 digs.
Colorado College returns to action on Tuesday against cross-town rival CU-Colorado Springs in the Tigers' last tune-up before next weekend's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
