Opening a stretch in which it will play four consecutive outings away from home for the second time in 2010, Colorado College heads to the Lone Star State this week for matches against a pair of Conference USA co-leaders.

The Tigers, who are undefeated (2-0-2) on the road, meet the University of Houston in a 7 p.m. (CT) game Friday at John Quinn Field (Robertson Stadium) on the UH campus, then travel across town to take on Rice University at RU's Track & Soccer Stadium in a noon (CT) contest on Sunday.

Both the Cougars and Owls won twice at home last weekend, beating the University of Tulsa and SMU, and are among four teams tied for first place with 2-0 records in the early C-USA standings.

CC, 0-1-1 in league play and 4-2-4 overall, is ranked No. 9 in the most recent Central Region poll published on Monday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Neither Houston nor Rice is ranked.

Colorado College has played both of this week's opponents four times previously. The Tigers are 4-0 all-time against UH after blanking the Cougars, 2-0, at Stewart Field last October 25. They are 1-2-1 vs. RU after battling the Owls to a scoreless draw, also at home, two days earlier last fall.
