View complete weekly release

Colorado College puts its eight-game unbeaten streak and a share of first place in Conference USA on the line this weekend when the Tigers head east for games at UAB and No. 8 Memphis.

CC plays under the lights for just the second time this season against the Blazers at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, then faces the highest ranked opponent on this year's schedule and C-USA co-leader Memphis on Sunday at noon.

The Tigers improved to 7-4-3 overall and 5-0-1 in league play after posting back-to-back 1-0 victories over Rice University and the University of Houston at Stewart Field last weekend. Colorado College has blanked five of six conference opponents and surrendered just one goal while reclaiming its share of the C-USA lead with 16 points.

UAB, currently tied for 11th place with one point, is 3-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the conference following home losses against Tulsa (3-0) and SMU (2-1). Co-leader Memphis takes a 13-0-1 overall record and a 5-0-1 league mark into Friday's home game against UTEP. The Tennessee Tigers tied SMU (3-3) on Friday and bounced back with a 4-0 victory over Tulsa on Sunday.

Colorado College owns a 4-1-1 lead in the series with UAB, which includes one victory in a non-conference game played in 1999. Last year, the Tigers scored in the 86th minute to forge a 1-1 tie with the Blazers. CC posted a 2-0 victory in its only appearance in Birmingham during the 2009 campaign.

Memphis holds a 3-2 lead in the series against Colorado College, including a 1-0 victory last year at Stewart Field. CC has not scored in its last three games against Memphis.

Through 14 games, Colorado College has averaged 1.50 goals per game while allowing 1.21, but during conference games, they Tigers have averaged 1.44 goals per contest while allowing only 0.16.

Sophomore forward Lauren DiGregorio, a two-time C-USA Player of the Week, leads the attack with four assists and 12 points. She also is tied with freshman midfielder Kaeli Vandersluis and junior forward Brittney Lyman with a team-best four goals. Junior goalkeeper Hanna Berglund, who has played every minute in goal, has seven shutouts and a .779 saves percentage.

Head coach Geoff Bennett will coach career game No. 250 at UAB on Friday. The Tigers also will attempt to record the program's 300th victory at the Division I level against the Blazers. CC's six-game C-USA unbeaten streak is its longest since joining the conference as an affiliate member in 2006, and the eight-game overall unbeaten streak is its longest since that season.

Colorado College plays its final home games of the season when SMU and the University of Tulsa visit Stewart Field on Friday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 23. The following Friday, the Tigers travel to El Paso, Texas, to face UTEP in the regular-season finale.
