View complete weekly release

Senior midfielder Kelsey Wise and the Tigers play their final non-conference games of the 2011 season this weekend when the Tigers open a four-game home stand against Fresno State and the University of Arkansas.

CC enters Friday's contest against the Bulldogs with a 1-4-1 record after tying Pittsburgh (1-1) and falling to North Carolina State (4-1) two weekends ago at the Pitt Soccer Classic. Fresno State, which competes in the WAC, is 3-3-1 after dropping a 4-1 decision at No. 4 UCLA on Sunday.

Arkansas, a member of the SEC, takes a 1-4-0 record into Friday's match at Air Force. The Razorbacks dropped a 2-0 decision against Missouri State in their most recent game.

Colorado College faces Fresno State for the first time on Friday. The Tigers own a 4-2 advantage in the series against Arkansas, with all four victories occurring at Stewart Field. CC defeated the Razorbacks, 4-1, the last time the schools met on Aug. 27, 2000.

Colorado College has averaged 1.0 goals per game while allowing 2.41 during what has been one of the more challenging non-conference schedules in program history. The Tigers continue to own a significant advantage against their opponents in total shots (92-71) and corner kicks (52-22), but have not turned the chances into goals.

Freshman midfielder Kaeli Vandersluis leads the team with two goals and five points, while Brittney Lyman, Jaclyn Silsby, Katie Uyenishi and Wise also have found the net. Hanna Berglund has played all 560 minutes in goal and has a .615 saves percentage.

CC is joining millions of Americans by celebrating Youth Soccer Month at both games this weekend. Youth Soccer Month is dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits of playing soccer. The ninth annual Youth Soccer Month message is “Get Out! Get Fit! Get Active!”

The Tigers begin their 11-game Conference USA schedule when East Carolina University and Marshall University visit Stewart Field on Sept. 23 and 25, respectively, to wrap up the current home stand.
