Colorado College puts its share of first place in Conference USA on the line when it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., to face Southern Miss at 4 p.m. CT on Friday. The Tigers wrap up their first conference road trip on Sunday when they visit No. 25 UCF at noon ET.
CC enters Friday's contest with a 4-4-2 record after defeating East Carolina (2-0) and Marshall (1-0) last weekend at Stewart Field. The Tigers are riding a three-game winning and four-game unbeaten streak, and are 4-1-2 in their last seven games.
The Golden Eagles are 3-5-3 overall and 0-1-1 in league play after tying the University of Tulsa (0-0) and losing to SMU (3-1) on the road last weekend.
The Knights opened league play with a loss at SMU (1-0) on Friday, but they bounced back with a victory at Tulsa (2-1) to improve to 6-2-2 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play.
Colorado College owns a 4-0 lead in the series with USM, which includes three consecutive shutout victories by a combined score of 10-0. The Tigers are 2-0 at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex after posting a 2-0 triumph on their most recent visit to Hattiesburg in 2009.
The series between CC and UCF is all square at 3-3-1 after Colorado College recorded a 1-0 victory last season. The Tigers are 2-1-1 in Orlando, where they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Knights in 2009.
Colorado College averages 1.44 goals per game while allowing 1.53, but those numbers have improved dramatically during the last seven games in which the Tigers have scored an average 1.74 goals per contest while allowing just 0.94.

Hanna Berglund (Golden, CO), who has three consecutive shutouts and four on the season, owns a 1.53 goals-against average and a .714 saves percentage. The CC defense has played 292:26 since allowing a goal at the end of regulation time during the 1-1 tie against Fresno State on Sept. 16.
Colorado College returns home to play host to Rice University on Friday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m., and then completes the weekend at 2 p.m. Sunday when the University of Houston visits Stewart Field. The following weekend, the Tigers travel to UAB and the University of Memphis on Oct. 14 and 16, respectively.
