Things don't get any easier for Colorado College as CC, which stumbled twice in showdowns with the nation's No. 2-ranked team last week, takes on third-ranked University of New Hampshire in the first of two non-conference battles this Thanskgiving Holiday at the World Arena.

Faceoff against the Wildcats is 7:37 p.m. MT Friday before Yale University invades the CSWA for a 7:07 p.m. contest on Saturday.

Their recent four-game winning streak a thing of the past after being rudely interrupted by archrival University of Denver, the Tigers try to bounce back from last weekend's double drubbing with a 7-5 overall record through their first 12 outings of the season. They're 4-2 and tied for fourth place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

New Hampshire improved to 8-1-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the Hockey East Association with a pair of big conference victories at UMass Lowell (3-0) last Friday and Boston University (3-1) on Sunday. The high-flying Widcats have won four consecutive games, allowing a total of just one goal and posting three shutouts during the streak.

Yale, which has not played since defeating St. Lawrence University (4-2) at home on Nov. 10, takes a 3-2-1 overall mark into Friday's contest at DU and is 2-2 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. UNH plays at Denver on Saturday.

Despite last week's double drubbing, Colorado College remained No. 14 in this week's U.S. College Hockey Online poll.

Friday's contest marks the 17th all-time encounter between the Tigers and New Hampshire. The Wildcats own an 11-5 advantage in the previous 16 after sweeping both of their last two series against CC – at the World Arena in October 2006 and in Durham, N.H., a year later. Colorado College is 7-8 against unranked Yale, a team it last saw two seasons ago in a 5-1 defeat at the World Arena.
