Colorado College continues its elusive quest for consistency on the road this week when the Tigers travel northwest for a two-game WCHA series against the struggling University of Alaska Anchorage.

Faceoff on the Olympic-size sheet of ice at Sullivan Arena  is 7:07 p.m. AT (9:07 MT) Friday and Saturday as CC tries to extend the last-place Seawolves' 12-game winless skid (0-11-1) and establish momentum for the final month of the 2012-13 regular season.

Both games will be televised live throughout Southern Colorado on KXTU The CW 57. See "Tiger Bites" below for details.

Only 10 games remain until the opening round of the league playoffs begin in mid-March. College College, 10-14-2 overall, currently is ninth in the WCHA standings with a 7-10-1 mark (15 points) in conference play and needs to climb to at least sixth to serve as a first-round host. Three teams – Minnesota State, North Dakota and Wisconsin – head into this weekend's action tied for fourth with 21 points apiece.

Cellar dweller Alaska Anchorage, which lost twice (5-2 and 2-1) at the University of Wisconsin last week, is 3-16-5 overall and 1-15-4 in the WCHA. The Tigers have not played since skating to a 5-1 victory over Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 19 and earning a split of their weekend series at the World Arena.

Although CC is 52-18-3 in 73 all-time meetings between the teams, the Seawolves have won four of the last seven regular-season encounters including a 4-1, 2-1 sweep at Sullivan Arena in January 2011, as well as splits in the their last two visits to Colorado Springs. Colorado College is 17-12-3 in 32 previous battles with UAA in Anchorage.
